In October of 2022, I was invited to participate in Artober Virginia, an event supporting public arts of various kinds in Petersburg, Virginia. I was a live-painter, having just one day to paint in front of festival goers. The piece was then put on auction to help benefit funding for future public art projects in the city of Petersburg. I participated with many other artists and had a great time! The piece was completely improvised and was sold!
I had to jump right into the piece to make sure I finished in time
I was moving so fast, I wasn’t even really stopping for pictures!
I made great progress for such a short period of time
Luckily, a good pal happened to be hanging around and took some as I worked!
The piece was sold and hung up in a wonderful space! It was such an honor to participate in this event.
