During Labor Day weekend 2021, I spent my time in Waynesboro, Virginia to participate in the Virginia Street Art Festival. The design that was approved for the project was one I had made a while before the event, and had been searching for someone who’d be willing to let me put it on their wall. This was my first time participating in a mural/street art festival.
I got a bright and early start to the mural, and was ready to transform this wall.
After climbing up and down the ladder countless times, I got the outline of the design filled in with primer!
As I started filling in the colors, the sun changed position and I got some much-needed shade.

Original concept sketch. I had sent this to multiple possible clients but finally got approved to paint it from VASAF!

The finished product! It was exciting to finish my first solo-designed mural!
Right when I finished the piece, I had to take a moment and step back and take it in.
